Voters find Andy Kim’s approach of speaking and engaging in thoughtful and substantive ways instead of sensationalism refreshing, and communication tone should reflect that posture.
Hispanic voters across New Jersey need to see in English and Spanish on narrowcast mediums, especially in the mailbox, that Andy Kim is the son of immigrants and a family man who fights for the people, not the political elites or special interests:
-
Andy is running to restore integrity to politics because New Jersey needs leaders who work for the people, not themselves or the special interests
- Andy has never accepted a dime of corporate PAC money and wrote legislation to ban politicians from owning individual stocks so they can't profit from their position.
- Andy sponsored the strongest anti-corruption bill in a generation that would increase transparency and accountability in our government and get dark money and the influence of special interests out of politics.
- When New Jersey's political elites tried to handpick the next Senator instead of letting voters decide, Andy took the political machine's corrupt system to court - and won, breaking party bosses' decades- long hold on Jersey politics and delivering a major victory for the people.
-
Andy knows the high cost of housing, food, and other basics are keeping the American Dream out of reach. He works for the people, not the special interests.
- He's working to bring back the property tax deductions eliminated by Trump and lower housing costs by holding greedy developers accountable, and is taking on the greedy corporations that are driving up food prices.
- He passed a law to stop oil companies from price gouging Americans, helped write a law that caps prescription drug costs for seniors, including a $35 a month limit on insulin.
On Veterans Issues:
Voters should know that as a former national security official who worked alongside our military as a civilian advisor overseas under Democrats and Republicans, Andy Kim knows veterans deserve better. Andy was twice named Legislator of the Year by the New Jersey Veterans of Foreign Wars (NJVFW) for his “unwavering commitment to supporting our veterans and their families.” As a leader in Congress, Andy has helped New Jersey veterans get their benefits after years of the V.A. dragging its feet and worked to double funding for veteran suicide prevention and outreach. When New Jersey veterans’ calls for a new health clinic went unanswered for years, Andy stepped up and helped deliver a new health clinic that will provide state-of-the-art care for local veterans. As a member of the U.S. Senate, Andy will always fight for those who fought for us.
