Congressman Andy Kim Receives Endorsement From Reproductive Freedom For All in Race for U.S. Senate
MOORESTOWN N.J. – Today, Congressman Andy Kim announced the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All, a national organization that has helped lead the charge for over 50 years in the fight for abortion rights, access to birth control, parental leave policies, and pregnancy protections. In 2023, they launched "Freedom for Everybody", a training program to build on the momentum of the 2022 midterms that gives voters and supporters more ways to act on their values by training them to organize in their own communities.
”Reproductive freedoms must be protected; restoring and enshrining them will be a priority of mine in the Senate,” said Congressman Andy Kim. “I’m proud to have the support of Reproductive Freedom for All in that fight and look forward to continuing my work in Congress to stand up for these essential freedoms.”
“Trump and Senate Republicans have their eyes dead set on banning abortion nationwide, and electing Andy Kim to the Senate is crucial to stopping them,” said Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraj. “We are proud to endorse him today, his victory will be one step closer to securing the federal right to abortion into law and expanding access across our nation.”
Congressman Kim has been a fierce advocate for reproductive freedoms, equal rights, and closing the gender pay gap. Following the 2022 Dobbs decision, Kim supported and voted for the Women’s Health Protection Act, the Ensuring Women’s Right to Reproductive Freedom Act, and the Right to Contraception Act. As the lead Democrat on the Military Personnel Subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee, Kim has stood up for women in uniform, helping to protect reproductive freedoms through co-sponsoring the Access to Reproductive Healthcare for Service Members Act and has voted to strengthen protections for victims of sexual assault.
First elected to Congress in 2018 at the age of 36, three-term Congressman Andy Kim is one of the younger members to serve in Congress and is the first Asian American elected to federal office from New Jersey. In 2018 and 2020, Andy defeated two self-funding millionaires in a district carried by former President Trump, going on to vote to impeach Trump twice throughout his presidency. In 2022, Kim defeated his third self-funding millionaire opponent by 12 points
In his three terms in Congress, Andy has worked hard to lower costs for New Jersey families and help support small businesses through challenging times. Andy has also been a leading champion in fighting against corruption in our broken politics.
