Congressman Andy Kim Earns Support of New Jersey State Association of Pipe Trades in Race for U.S. Senate
MOORESTOWN N.J. – Today, Congressman Andy Kim announced the endorsement of the New Jersey State Association of Pipe Trades in his bid for U.S. Senate. Representing 10,000 workers in New Jersey, NJ Pipe Trades works on behalf of plumbers, pipefitters and HVAC technicians to collectively bargain, earn a livable wage, ensure proper work protections, and receive great benefits.
“The New Jersey State Association of Pipe Trades protects their members who work everyday to make sure our systems are safe and running smoothly in New Jersey,” said Congressman Andy Kim. “As we see historic flooding and extreme weather across the state, these members are especially vital in protecting New Jersey families by keeping the heat on and the water running, and I am honored to have them stand with me this year and will fight for them in the Senate.”
“The New Jersey Association of Pipe Trades is proud to endorse Andy Kim for the United States Senate,” said Michael K. Maloney, President of New Jersey State Association of Pipe Trades. “Our members, hard working men and women, share his vision for our country along with the pursuit of the true American dream- a good job with honest pay that allows us to provide for and raise our families. Andy is the right person to fight for us in Washington during these difficult times.”
Congressman Andy Kim is a three-term Member of Congress first elected in 2018 and is the first Asian American elected to federal office from New Jersey. In 2018 and 2020, Andy defeated two self-funding millionaires in a district carried by former President Trump, and in 2022 Kim defeated his third self-funding millionaire opponent by 12 points.
In his three terms in Congress, Andy has worked hard to lower costs for New Jersey families and help support small businesses through challenging times. Andy has also been a leading champion in fighting against corruption in our broken politics.
