New Poll Shows Congressman Andy Kim Will Hold NJ Senate Seat, Indicted Senator Menendez Would Lose It
MOORESTOWN N.J. – Today, VoteVets released a poll that showed Congressman Andy Kim would hold the New Jersey Senate seat currently occupied by indicted Senator Bob Menendez against the generic Republican, whereas the indicted senator would lose the seat, potentially costing Democrats the Senate Majority.
“The stakes in this election could not be higher. This poll shows that New Jersey’s Senate seat is in danger if Senator Menendez is our party’s nominee. With the Senate majority potentially in the balance, that’s a risk that we can’t afford,” said Congressman Andy Kim. “This poll also shows that I would win against a Republican in this same race. Voters clearly show that they’re ready for a new kind of politics. A politics rooted in service, respect, and integrity. People in New Jersey deserve better than Senator Menendez, they deserve leadership that’s looking out for them, and this poll shows that they are ready for that change.”

Congressman Andy Kim was first elected to Congress in 2018 and is the first Asian American elected to federal office from New Jersey. In 2018 and 2020, Andy defeated two self-funding millionaires in a district carried by former President Trump, and in 2022 Kim defeated his third self-funding millionaire opponent by 12 points.
In his three terms in Congress, Andy has worked to deliver improved health care for veterans, relief for homeowners suffering from Superstorm Sandy, and has been a leader in strengthening congressional ethics and getting money and its corrupting influence out of politics.
